Witnesses of past times can be found all over the region for instance in the historical shops in Nordenham-Abbehausen and Langwarden, at the regional historical Museum Nordenham or at the Handwerker Museums in Berne and Ovelgönne.

Here you will find shipping history exhibits, old instruments and sea maps, bottled ships and much more from the exciting time of whaling and herring fishing, the big sailing vessels and shipyards along the Unterweser.

The Moorseer Mühle in Nordenham-Abbehausen offers a very special experience for the whole family: At the still working smock mill with connected special museum for miller's trade, join-in baking days take place regularly.
